Four held for stealing articles from sugar factory

Aurangabad: Beed police arrested four persons for allegedly stealing articles worth Rs 38 lakh from a Vaidyanath Sugar factory.

The stolen material includes 200 kg copper, 400 kg mill bearing brass, round bars, imperial bush, computers and its related spare parts. The material was kept in the storeroom of the Sugar factory. According to the factory officials, the theft might have taken place in the past two to three months.

According to the news report published in The Times of India, The arrested suspects have confessed that they managed to enter the factory by jumping the boundary walls and entered godown through bending its shutter. Parli rural police station inspector Shivlal Purbhe said, “We have arrested four suspects while a manhunt for others is underway. The arrested people were produced before a court on Wednesday, following which they have been remanded to custody till December 28.”
