Mysuru: The Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru has assured the farmers that he would convene a meeting on November 8 to discuss their demands regarding a hike in higher Fair and Remunerative Prices (FRP) for sugarcane, reports The Hindu.
He urged the farmers to withdraw their agitation but the farmers stated that they would continue their protest and will withdraw it only after their demands are met. They have stated that the government is not responding to their demands.
