194 mills from the state have applied for the permission to start cane crushing, out of which only those with have paid FRPs will be given their licenses. Such decision has been strictly taken by the Sugar Commissionerate. During a meeting on 20th Oct, 2018 Sugar Commissionerate had given licenses to 31 sugar mills later that on Thursday, 23 mills had received permissions.
On Saturday, Chandrabhaga, Gokul Mauli, Pandurang & Sahakar Maharshi Shankarrao Mohite-Patil sugar mills were given licenses whereas on Thursday, Lokmangal Agro Bibidarfal, Lokmangal Bhandarkavathe, Jakraya Vatvate, Bhairavnath Vihal – 2, Bhairavnath Lavangi – 3 and Bhairavnath Alegaon – 4, in total 10 mills were permitted for cane crushing.
