The state government has decided to extend the tenure of contractual workers of Sanjivani Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana, Dharbandora
Ponda: After pacifying the sugarcane farmers, the state government has extended the contract of the contractual workers working with the Sanjivani sugar mill. The order in this regard will be issued today.
Deepak Pauskar, Public works department minister said, “ An order in this regard will be issued on Monday.”
86 workers out of a total of 93 that are on contract basis staged an agitation at the factory gate on Saturday demanding the extension of their contract.
According to the media report, Pauskar assured them of extending their contractual term either by two months or till proper arrangements are made.
