Ponda: Ramkrishna ‘Sudin’ Dhavalikar, MLA from Madkai, has alleged the misappropriation of funds amounting to Rs 19 crore at the Sanjivani Sugar Factory, Dharbandora since 2016 and demanded a CBI inquiry into the affairs of the factory.
According to the news report published in The Times of India, he told reporters that the sugarcane farmers have not received the RS 4 crore sanctioned for harvesting sugarcane and the cane dues paid by the Laila Sugar Factory in Dharwad, Karnataka. “We want the government to probe all the issues including the transportation cost deducted by the sugar mill,” he said.
