In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic and requests made by the Sugar Industry the last date of export of MAEQ 2019-20 was further extended upto 31.12.2020 .
According to the Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD), representations have been received from sugar mills stating that some mills are facing problems in dispensing their MAEQ 2019-20 entitlements due to the dilemma over the sugar to be exported.
To enable the sugar mills to fulfill their MAEQ entitlements it is clarified that the sugar mills may export sugar irrespective of the season in which it was manufactured while discharging their MAEQ quota of sugar season 2019-20
