Government is continuously working for the interests of farmers: Amit Shah

New Delhi: After the government announced 60 LMT quota for exports of sugar season 2020-2021 with an assistance of Rs 3500 crores, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the government is continuously working for the interests of the farmers of the country.

In a tweet, Amit Shah said, “PM Modi led Union government took another major decision in the interests of farmers and approved assistance of Rs 3,500 crore for sugarcane farmers. This amount will be directly deposited in the accounts of the farmers. Five crore sugarcane farmers and 5 lakh labourers will be benefited by this decision.”

In India, many sugar mills failed to clear cane dues, which has affected the sugarcane farmers. With a release of sugar export subsidy, sugarcane farmers are likely to get cane dues soon.
