Govt failed to reopen closed sugar mill: TPCC leader Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Chief A Revanth Reddy attacked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao over not taking steps to revive the closed Nizam sugar mill.

He was speaking while addressing the gathering of party workers of Bodhan assembly constituency held in Kompally.

According to the news report published in Thehansindia.com, Reddy said, “CM Reddy has failed to fulfill the promise.” He asked as to what happened to his promise of reopening of the historic Nizam Sugar Factory within 100 days of coming to power.

As per the media reports, the eight-decade old sugar mill that was set up in 1937 has stopped operations since 2015. The sugarcane farmers, as well as workers associated with the mill, are awaiting for the mill to start operations.
