Jaysingpur: Gurudatta Sugars has achieved the top rank by paying Rs 3064 per tonne, the highest FRP to cane producing farmers. The mill disbursed Rs 232 crore to farmers in their bank accounts.
Chairman Madhavrao Ghatage said, “The sugarcane crushing season of the mill lasted for 148 days. Total 7.59 lakh tonne cane was crushed, and with an average recovery of 13.41 per cent 10.18 lakh quintal sugar was produced. Despite the falling prices of sugar in the domestic and international market due to excess production, we have succeeded in paying the highest rate to the cane producers.”
“This year the cane recovery of the mill his highest and we appeal farmers to register their cane with us for next year’s cane crushing”, said Ghatage.
