Chandigarh, Jan 15 (UNI) The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 10.91 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 121.56 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
Stating this here on Tuesday, a spokesman for Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 2.05 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 21.96 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced over 1.71 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 19.74 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced over 1.28 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 13.90 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, has produced over 1.16 quintals of sugar by crushing 12.59 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
Similarly, the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 1.03 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 12.80 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced 83,540 quintals of sugar by crushing 9.81 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced 82,185 quintals of sugar by crushing 8.70 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced 75,400 quintals of sugar by crushing 8.02 lakh quintals of sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill Sonipat has produced 31,750 quintals of sugar by crushing 3.85 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced over 1.23 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 14.34 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
He said that so far, the average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 9.41 per cent.
