Haryana: Minister asks millers to clear cane dues on time

Chandigarh: Cooperation Minister Banwari Lal asked sugar mills in the state to ensure that they pay cane farmers on time, reports Tribune India.

The government has set a target of crushing about 500 lakh quintals of sugarcane for the current financial year, he said while addressing the meeting of the Cooperative Federation officials.

“The cane crushing season will begin from the first week of November and mills should complete the preparations to start operations by the end of October,” he said.
