Panipat, Haryana : Chairman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills Ltd, Dharmbir Singh Dagar and MD Shakti Singh inspected the Dahar Sugar Mill. During their visit, they reviewed the facilities and cleanliness at the mill and issued instructions to improve sugar recovery.
Chairman Dharmbir Singh Dagar emphasized the need to enhance sugar recovery. He also held a meeting with all employees. During the meeting, sugar mill employees union President Virendra Singh Rana raised workers’ concerns before the chairman. After listening to the issues, Dagar assured that steps would be taken to resolve them.
Dagar also assured farmers that, in the future, the mill’s labour force would be used to carry out sugarcane harvesting activities. He said efforts are underway to implement this plan. He encouraged farmers to increase their income by growing more sugarcane and planting crops like coriander, onions, cauliflower, and turmeric alongside it to double their earnings. MD Mandeep Kumar of the Sugar Mill and MD Shweta Suhag of Sonipat Sugar Mill were also present at the event.
Later, Chairman Dharmbir Singh Dagar and MD Shakti Singh visited a farmer’s field to assess the situation. Addressing farmers’ demands, Dagar announced that committees of village youths would be formed to introduce harvesting machines, similar to Maharashtra’s model. These machines will be provided with subsidies to create employment opportunities for the youth and resolve farmers’ issues.
