Haryana: Sugar mill to spend around Rs 20 crore to expand sugarcane cultivation

Yamunanagar, Haryana: In a bid to provide better facilities to farmers and increase sugarcane cultivation in the mill region, Saraswati sugar mill is making significant efforts. On Tuesday, a promotional vehicle was flagged off to spread awareness about various schemes and facilities associated with the mill. The vehicle was inaugurated by the mill’s Chief Executive Officer, S.K. Sachdeva, and Nayana Puri, reported Dainik Tribune.

Sachdeva stated that the mill management has introduced multiple schemes to encourage sugarcane farming, with an estimated investment of ₹20 crore.

Senior Vice President D.P. Singh emphasized that the mill aims to simplify sugarcane farming by promoting the use of machinery from planting to harvesting.

Urging farmers to maximize sugarcane cultivation and supply their entire produce to the mill, Singh encouraged them to take full advantage of initiatives taken by mill.

The event was attended by key officials from the sugar mill, including Satyaveer Singh, Rajiv Mishra, Rajendra Kaushik, Kamal Kapoor, Deepak Miglani, Ashwani Arya, and others.
