Rohtak: Sugarcane farmers belonging to Bhali Sugarcane Committee presented a memorandum to the Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, the Bhali Anandpur Sugar Mill, regarding the issues faced by sugarcane farmers, reports Dainik Bhaskar.
The minister had visited the Bhali Sugar Mill to inaugurate a petrol pump. During this event, farmers announced a protest due to the lack of resolution of their problems.
Sumit Dalal, a member of the Sugarcane Farmers Committee, stated that the farmers discussed various concerns with the minister. These included providing diesel to farmers on bonds at the new petrol pump in the sugar mill, supplying sugarcane at controlled rates, increasing bonding of sugarcane farmers, managing ash from the mill, providing rent to farmers delivering sugarcane to the Panipat Sugar Mill, increasing the price of sugarcane to Rs 500 per quintal, and demanding a new sugar mill in Jhajjar district.
