Palwal: Sugarcane farmers are still awaiting the cane dues of Rs 34 crore from the state-run Palwal sugar mill for the on-going 2020-21 crushing season.
The mill has procured cane from the farmers from Palwal, Faridabad, Nuh and Gurugram districts for crushing. The mill has so far crushed cane worth Rs 53.15 crore till January 30. According to mill administration, the mill has so far cleared dues worth Rs 18.97 crore to the cane farmers.
Naresh Kumar, managing director of the sugar mill said, “Till date, we have cleared 35.71% of cane dues to the cane farmers and will clear the outstanding dues before completion of the crushing season.”
