Hasanpur: The crushing capacity expansion of the Kisan Cooperative Sugar Mill Kalakheda Hasanpur is set to begin soon. The expansion will increase the mill’s sugarcane crushing capacity, which will benefit farmers in the region.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the expansion of the Hasanpur sugar mill during a public meeting in Hasanpur on April 26, 2018. Applications have been invited from contractors to carry out the expansion. The contractor will be selected soon, and the expansion work will begin.
Krishna Kumar Sharma, district president of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, said that the expansion of the sugar mill will benefit farmers.
Rahul Yadav, the mill’s chief manager, said that the expansion work is set to begin soon. He said that the expansion would benefit farmers the most.
