Deliveries of raw sugar upon the expiry of the March contract on the ICE Futures Exchange reached 34,385 lots, equivalent to 1.74 million metric tonnes, according to preliminary information from sugar traders.
Wilmar International was said to be the largest receiver of sugar, with 23,073 lots, or approximately 1.17 million tonnes. Meanwhile, Louis Dreyfus was said to be the largest deliverer, with 9,599 lots (487,656 tonnes).
ICE will release the official delivery data on Monday.
