Preliminary reports show that there were 32,914 lots (Around 1.67 million metric tonnes) of raw sugar delivered on the expiry of the May contract SBK4 on the ICE exchange.
As per reports, Singapore-based commodities trader Wilmar International said to be the largest deliverer of the sugar with 29,727 lots (1.51 million tonnes). Commodities trader Louis Dreyfus said to be the main receiver with 19,127 lots (around 971,651 tonnes). Each lot comprises of around 50.8 metric tonnes of sugar.
Official data regarding the delivery is anticipated to be released by ICE on Wednesday.
May NY world sugar on Tuesday closed down -0.49 (-2.43%), and Aug London ICE white sugar closed down -4.50 (-0.78%).
