ICE October raw sugar delivery totals 1.7 million tonnes: Report

Deliveries of raw sugar upon the expiration of the October SBV4 contract on the ICE exchange were reported to be about 33,500 lots, equivalent to around 1.7 million metric tonnes, based on preliminary information from sugar traders on Monday.

Wilmar International, a commodities trader based in Singapore, was identified as the sole receiver of the sugar, while Sucden was noted as the largest supplier, delivering around 22,500 lots. Additionally, traders indicated that Viterra and Louis Dreyfus also contributed to the deliveries.

Official delivery data from ICE is expected to be released on Tuesday.
