New Delhi: India and Bangladesh have game-changing potential if they work with greater collaboration in the agriculture sector, said Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal.
Speaking at the India-Bangladesh Digital Conference on Agriculture sector organized by CII, he said that the agriculture sector is the area where both the countries can work in collaboration to yield good results. The agriculture sector has huge socio-economic dimensions
Responding to the statement of Bangladesh Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi about informing them before imposing export restriction on goods, he said that India is looking at a longterm framework to address the problem of export restrictions on onions and potato through creation of adequate buffer stocks and increasing the area of cultivation to ensure continuous supplies.
