The Indian sugar industry has ramped up efforts to export of sugar as it is a golden opportunity for India as the International market is all open for India as Brazil and Thailand have reduced their production estimate substantially while Australia will enter the export market only March onward.
Though India is finding it tough to accomplish the 5 million tonnes target due to the sharp-edged volatility in global prices in spite of the rupee’s movement against the dollar making exports sporadically viable. India, however, is optimistic about exports and to search new staunch and robust markets a delegation is all set to prospect Malaysia & Middle East countries
