The equity benchmark indices failed to hold on to early gains and ended the session on a flat note on August 27
Sensex ended 13.65 points higher at 81,711.76, whereas Nifty concluded 7.15 points up at 25,017.75.
Biggest Nifty gainers were SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life, Bajaj Finserv, Maruti Suzuki, and Shriram Finance, while losers included JSW Steel, Titan Co, HUL, Tata Motors and Coal India.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 611.90 points higher at 81,698.11, whereas Nifty concluded 187.45 points up at 25,010.60.
