Jakarta: ID FOOD, the state-owned food holding company is preparing to distribute 237,575 tons of sugar throughout this year, as per the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Ministry, reports en.antaranews.
SOEs Special Staff III Arya Sinulingga stated in a press conference, “The step has been taken to ensure the domestic demand in the country throughout 2023.”
It was decided by IT FOOD and the government to maintain the availability of strategic food stocks ahead of this year’s holy fasting month of Ramadan.
The company has been asked by the government to provide sugar and other commodities to ensure that all regions receive them, said President Director of PT RNI (Persero)/ID FOOD Frans Marganda Tambunan.
