Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh: A ‘Kisan Diwas’ programme was held at Vikas Bhavan Sabha Bhawan, chaired by District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar. The DM directed that the problems/issues of the farmers be sorted out in a timely and effective manner. He reviewed complaints and problems raised by farmers about the price payments of sugarcane and weighing scales and issued directions to officials to redress them on top priority, reported Live Hindustan.
On the occasion, several issues, including the non-supply of water through tanks constructed under the Har Ghar Jal Yojana by the Water Corporation and inadequate road repairs, were highlighted. The DM instructed the Chief Development Officer to present a list verifying the completion of work in villages by responsible agencies for farmers’ verification.
