Lucknow: Additional Chief Secretary, Sugar Industry and Cane Development, Shri Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy said that an internship program is being started in various offices of Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department such as Cane Commissioner Office, UP Council of Sugarcane Research, Shahjahanpur, UP Co-operative Sugar Factory Federation Ltd. & State Sugar Corporation and Co-operative Sugar Mill Federation to provide work experience oriented education to the students in the State.
Giving this information Shri Bhoosreddy said that this internship program of minimum 21 days and maximum 60 days duration has been started as per orders of the Government for the students of professional courses / graduation / post-graduation and research level who have obtained at least 55 percent marks and are studying in penultimate Semester or penultimate year. The students interested in internship may submit their application on Cane Department’s website www.upcane.gov.in. This training will be helpful in making them practically skilled, experienced and efficient for their future.
He said that an internship program is being run for the students under Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department,s various offices like Law subject at Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department, Uttar Pradesh, Accounts, Law, Statistics, at Cane and Sugar Commissioner office, Lucknow, Tissue culture, earthworm composting training, soil training, soil health card, juice analysis, promotion of various organic products, production of various bio-fertilizers, identification of various diseases and its chemical control, at UP Sugarcane Research Council, Shahjahanpur, and Accounts, Cane, Computer, IT (Eng.), Engineering, HR, Law, Marketing, Statistics, Sugar Technology etc. at UP Co-Operative Sugar factory federation & U.P. State Sugar Corporation, Ltd.
It was also told that at least 95 % attendance of the trainee is mandatory during the training period and before being selected as a intern under the programme, it will be mandatory to give a personal declaration on the prescribed format regarding maintaining the confidentiality of the government office. After the completion of the internship program, each intern will have to submit a self-evaluation report regarding the work completed. After this, the certificate will be given to the successful interns by the concerned institution.
The selection of the students for the internship program will be done on the basis of the suitability and qualifications of the applicants, so the applicants will have to apply only under their category, to avoid rejection. The internship program along with developing special skills and providing practical experience regarding their professional courses will introduce students with the working patterns in Government Offices and Subordinate Departments. It will infuse youth with power and innovative ideas along with team spirits in doing their tasks.
