Jayashree Ethanol Distillation planning setting up a 180 klpd grain-based distillery/ethanol plant at Sattigeri village in Soundatti taluka located in Belgavi district, Karnataka, reports Projects Today.
The plant will be spread over 25 acres of land and will include a 6 MW power plant. The company received approval from the State-Level Window Clearance Committee (SLSWC) for the project in May 2022. The company also received environmental clearance (EC) from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on 28 July 2022.
The company is likely to start work on the project by August 2022 and is in the process of finalizing the contractors and machinery suppliers for the project. The company is awaiting the financial closure of its new manufacturing unit, according to the media report.
