Vijayapura, Karnataka: A boiler exploded early Sunday morning at the Nandi Cooperative Sugar Factory in Krishnanagar, Babaleshwar taluk. Fortunately, all 15 workers assigned to the boiler were out for tea at the time, so no one was injured, reports The Times of India.
Police quickly arrived at the scene and assisted fire and emergency services personnel in extinguishing the fire. A case is being filed.
Earlier in March 2023, the factory experienced a fatal incident involving an alleged boiler explosion. One migrant laborer lost their life, and several other workers sustained injuries.
