Karnataka: Raichur Bio Energies plans to set up ethanol plant

Raichur Bio Energies is mulling to set up a grain-based ethanol plant at Yedlapur village, Shaktinagar in Raichur district, Karnataka, reports Projects Today.

The plant spread over 27.65 acres will also involve a captive power plant with a capacity of five MW and the capacity of the plant will be 200 klpd.
The company will soon finalise a contractor and machinery supplier and is awaiting the environmental clearance (EC) for the project.

The company plans to start work in January 2024 and it would be completed by July 2025.
