Kalaburagi, Karnataka: Heavy rainfall has hit the sugarcane and other crops in the district. The crops have been submerged in the water due to the sudden rain.
According to the news report published in Deccan Herald, Basavaraj Ingin, Karnataka Red Gram Growers’ Association (KRGGA) president said that it is estimated that the rainfall has damaged crops of around Rs 500 crore. The state agriculture department is conducting a survey of the crops damaged in the rainfall.
Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa will be visiting the rain-affected region soon.
