The residents of Kisumu protested demonstration on the Kondele-Kibos road connecting Kibos Sugar factory after the mill’s car allegedly killed three youths.
The agitators demanded that the accused should be punished as per law.
The trio identified as Meshak Ouma (37), George Oudi (28) and Martin Bonyo (25) were run over by a car belonging to the sugar mill when they were travelling on Kondele-Kibos road on Saturday during curfew hours around 9.45 pm. The car was heading towards the sugar mill and hit the trio who died on the spot.
Boniface Akach, a human rights activist said that they are protesting to get justice for the family members of the deceased persons.
