Kisan cooperative sugar mill is taking steps to clear cane dues on time in a bid to give relief to farmers. The sugar mill has released a payment of Rs 4.53 crore of cane procurement till 1 February, reports Live Hindustan.
General Manager Rajeev Lochan Sharma informed that Rs 1.90 crore has been paid to sugarcane farmers of Sitarganj, Rs 2.54 crore to sugarcane farmers of Khatima, Rs 89 lakh to sugarcane farmers of Haldwani area.
He informed that the payment of the sugarcane farmers has been given to the sugarcane committee by cheque. So far2,30,260 quintals of sugar have been produced by crushing 24,72,800 quintal of sugarcane
