Mawana: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of Kisan Majdoor Utthan morcha have raised the issue of pending cane dues of Rs 190 crore from the sugar mills, reports Live Hindustan.
Farmers have stated that the Mawana sugar mill has cleared cane dues of Rs 523 crore and now owes dues of Rs 190 crore. They have demanded the mill should clear the cane dues on a priority basis. They handed over the memorandum of their demands in this regard to the SDM and urged him to take appropriate action on their demand.
