Amirnagar, Uttar Pradesh: Kumbhi sugar mill, belongs to Balrampur group, commenced the sugarcane crushing season on Monday after performing puja.
The crushing began after weighing the sugarcane brought by a farmer from Gangapur by his bullock cart and putting it in the crushing chain. Another farmer who brought cane in his tractor-trolley was also put for crushing after weighing it. Both farmers were felicitated on the occasion. Several sugarcane farmers and the mill officials were present during the inauguration.
Mill administration urged cane growers to cooperate with them in order to make this season sucessful.
