Lakhimpur Kheri: Sugar mill introduces new system for farmers to supply sugarcane without supply slips

Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh: In a new move to benefit farmers, Govind sugar mill has introduced a new system allowing farmers to sell their sugarcane at the mill’s purchase centers and main gate without supply slips, reported Dainik Bhaskar.

Ajit Singh, a representative of the mill management, shared details about the initiative. He explained that several registered farmers in the Aira region lacked supply slips, preventing them from supplying their sugarcane to the mill. Under the new system, farmers only need to provide their unique code, which will enable them to increase their basic supply quota. The mill management has urged farmers to supply their surplus sugarcane as soon as possible, apart from the portion reserved for seeds.

This new facility has been met with enthusiasm among local farmers, as it removes a major hurdle and ensures a smoother process for selling their produce to the mill.
