Dehradun, Uttarakhand: Laksar sugar mill will start operations after Diwali. The mill has completed preparations for sugarcane procurement at all its purchasing centres.
More than 45,000 sugarcane farmers send their cane to the sugar mill for crushing. The delay in starting operations of the mill has compelled the farmers to send their cane to the jaggery production units.
According to the news report, Ajay Kumar Khandelwal, chief manager of the mill, said that the mill will start operations after Diwali.
