Shamali, Uttarpradesh: A joint of a turbine in a sugar mill leaked on Tuesday and left two employees injured, said an official of the sugar mill, reports Uniindia.
The crushing of the mill has been stopped for an indefinite period.
Deepak Rana, assistant Cane Manager of Upper Doab Subar Mill said, the incident happened around 3 am. The joint of a 3-megawatt turbine leaked and due to the steam inside the turbine the duo were injured, he said.
The injured have been referred to a hospital in Karnal in Haryana, he said.
