According to a report by the Free Press Journal, a major fire erupted at the premises of Shri Durga Khandsari Sugar mill, located on the Khetia-Sendhwa road near Medarna village. The fire brigade and rescue teams promptly responded to the incident and successfully extinguished the fire. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported thus far.
Upon receiving the alert, fire tenders from Khetia, Pansemal, Shahada, and nearby areas rushed to the spot, as confirmed by an on-duty official.
Currently, officials are in the process of assessing the extent of the damage and investigating the cause of the fire at the mill.
