Maharashtra: Accident at ethanol factory as silo storing corn collapses

At least three workers were killed and three others injured when a silo storing corn collapsed at an ethanol manufacturing plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s Shendre MIDC on Friday, officials said.

The bodies of the three deceased workers have been recovered.

As per the report, according to officials, at around 2:20pm, silo tank collapsed at distillery. The corn stored in the 3,000 tonne capacity fell out, killing three workers and injuring three others.

  1. When a sugar factory cannot pay reasonable price to Farmer , he should be given permission to supply any where to get reasonable price .When a trader is selling Sugar wherever he gets high rate , the same concept to be applied to farmer .
