Nagpur: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar stated on Friday that a scheduled meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, which was to be attended by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, had been postponed. Pawar informed journalists on the premises of Vidhan Bhavan in Nagpur during the ongoing winter session of the state legislature, reported PTI.
Pawar explained that they had received a message from the Union home minister stating that due to important work commitments, the meeting could not take place on Friday evening. Shah has suggested rescheduling the meeting for Monday or Tuesday, and Pawar mentioned that they have requested his time on Monday.
The deputy CMs stated that CM Shinde had discussed five key issues, including onion and ethanol, during the cabinet meeting on Thursday. The intended meeting with the Union home minister was related to these discussions.
