Mumbai: After Odisha and Punjab, Maharashtra has also decided to extend the lockdown amid coronavirus crisis. State Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced that the lockdown will continue in the state even after 14th April. In Maharashtra, the lockdown is extended till 30th April.
His statement came soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction with various Chief Ministers of the country.
Cases of coronavirus are increasing rapidly in the country. And Maharashtra is one of the worst affected states. The 21-day lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last month to contain the spread of novel coronavirus will end on April 14.
Thackeray also assured a smooth supply of essential commodities.
