Mumbai: Today Sensex closed on March 25, 2020 at 1,861.75 points higher at 28,535.78. Similarly, Nifty ended 516.80 points up at 8,317.85.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on March 24, 2020 at 692.79 points higher at 26,674.03. Similarly, Nifty ended 190.80 points up at 7801.05.
Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, UPL and Grasim Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank, IOC, Coal India and GAIL.
At 1 pm, the BSE S&P Sensex was up by 1,175 points or 4.41 per cent to 27,849 while the Nifty 50 edged higher by 326 points or 4.17 per cent to 8,127. All sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were in the green with Nifty financial service gaining by 3.7 per cent, auto by 3.4 per cent and FMCG by 1.8 per cent.
