Mumbai: Today Sensex closed on March 26, 2020 at 1,410.99 points higher at 29,946.77. Similarly, Nifty ended 323.60 points up at 8,641.45.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on March 25, 2020 at 1,861.75 points higher at 28,535.78. Similarly, Nifty ended 516.80 points up at 8,317.85.
IndusInd Bank, L&T, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Auto and Hero MotoCorp were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Yes Bank, GAIL, Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki and Adani Ports.
To give economic relief, today Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a relief package of Rs 1.70 lakh crore for the poor and migrant workers amid a 21-day countrywide lockdown. Coronavirus has impacted the economy worldwide and India is one of them.
