Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex ended 85.35 points higher at 63,228.51, whereas Nifty concluded 39.75 points up at 18,755.90.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 418.45 points higher at 63,143.16, whereas Nifty concluded 114.65 points up at 18,716.15.
Wholesale inflation in India based on the Wholesale Price Index continued to stay in the negative zone in May.
It hit a three-year low at minus 3.48 per cent in May, as against minus 0.92 the previous month, official data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed on Wednesday.
