Mumbai: Equity benchmark indices ended lower amid a selloff in global equities after U.S. Federal Reserve officials warned the US economy was worse than the market was pricing in. Sensex closed on September 24, 2020 at 1,114.82 points low at 36,553.60. Nifty ended 326.30 points low at 10,805.55.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on September 23, 2020 at 65.66 points low at 37,668.42. Nifty ended 21.80 points low at 11,131.85.
M&M, TCS, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors and IndusInd Bank were among top losers on the Nifty, while HUL was the only gainer.
