Mumbai: Sensex on Tuesday was trading 218.82 points higher at 41,108.05, while NSE Nifty surged 51.55 points at 12,125.50 in morning trade.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 40,999 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,096 points.
Yes Bank, Tata Steel, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, Infosys, RIL were among the top gainers.
Bharti Airtel, Kotak Bank, Bajaj Auto, L&T, and Hero MotoCorp were among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated 8 paise against the US dollar to trade at 71.66 in early session.
