Meerut Uttar Pradesh: Mawana sugar mill is taking steps to clear the pending cane due. It has sent Rs 10.35 crore to the account of farmers for sugarcane procurement. In the current crushing season, the mill so far cleared the sugarcane payment of Rs 431 crore.
Senior General Manager (Sugarcane) Pramod Balyan informed farmers of the area that 85 per cent of the amount received from the sugar selling is being used for payment of cane price.
He told to farmers, “As per the instructions of the sugarcane department, give your support by filling the online declaration form. Also, follow all Covid protocols to protect yourself from the deadly virus.”
