Medium sugar prices declined further at the Vashi wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers.
While, small sugar prices ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 16/20 per quintal to Rs 3,070/3,352 from Monday’s closing level of Rs 3,040/3,122.
However, small sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs 3,020/3,205 per quintal as against Rs 3,040/3,122 yesterday.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,020/3,205 (Rs 3,040/3,122).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,070/3,352 (Rs 3,086/3,372).
