Kichcha, Uttarakhand: Sugarcane minister Saurabh Bahuguna has appealed to the farmers to sell their cane to the mills and assured them that they will get cane bills on time, reports Amarujala.
He was speaking after inaugurating the crushing operations of the Kichchha sugar mill on Tuesday.
“Our aim is to ensure the betterment of sugarcane farmers as well as improving the financial condition of the sugar mills,” he said.
Our government is very particular about the sugar mills and we will not allow any sugar mill to close operations due to mismanagement or financial losses, Minister added.
“The recovery in the Sitarganj region has been increased, and we promise the farmers that the sugar mills will be modernized soon to increase their efficiency,” he concluded.
