Chandigarh: The review of preparations done by the sugar mills to ensure that the crushing season starts in time was conducted through a meeting jointly chaired by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister J P Dalal and Cooperation Minister Banwari Lal, reports Tribuneindia.
The process of purchase of caustic soda, lubricants and other materials required for sugar mills was also completed during the meeting.
During the meeting, the ministers reviewed the materials worth Rs 4.47 crore that needed to be purchased for various sugar mills. They also approved the procurement of lubricants worth Rs 2.84 crore and caustic soda worth Rs 1.63 crore.
