Pune: The sugar industry in India and particularly in Maharashtra, is facing severe challenges of high production, increasing FRP, and low sugar prices in the national and international markets.
The Government of India recently has initiated several measures to assist the sugar industry, including fixation of sugar selling price, provision of interest subvention and higher remunerative prices for ethanol production from C & B-Heavy and direct sugarcane juice, etc.
At this juncture, it is necessary for the sugar industry to make use of the latest technology equipment in their sugar, Cogen Power and distillery/Ethanol Plants, for improving operations and reduce costs, wherever possible.
On this background, MITCON Consultancy and Engineering Services Limited, a Pune based Consultancy and Engineering Services Company, providing concept to commissioning services to sugar/Cogen Power/Ethanol Plants, organised a half-day Business meet on March 8, 2019, at Pune.
The purpose of this meet was to promote the latest technology products and services from Delta Electronics & Instruments Pvt Limited (DEIPL), New Delhi/Mumbai/Pune.
DEIPL is engaged in the supply of Variable Frequency drives and series of latest technology products in the plant automation, for improved controls and reduced operating and energy costs, to several industry sectors, including sugar, cogen power & distillery/ Ethanol Plants at sugar factories.
A total of about 70 persons from sugar factories, industry associations, EPC contractors and stakeholders of the sugar industry, participated in this business meet.
